• Carefully remove one axle bushing with a knife edge or a flat screw driver.
• Once the bushing is removed, the axle and its bracket can be removed and disentangled from the brake bracket.
• Note how the brake bracket and brake pad fit on the axle so that the new bracket can be installed properly.
• Also note the orientation of the axle bracket.
• Install the new axle bracket with the same orientation.
